Alumna and Design Production Major (class of ‘25) Peyton Lewis just wrapped up her very first professional theatre season. She spent last summer interning at Des Moines Metro Opera, and then she moved back to Nashville to Assistant Stage Manage three shows, Stage Manage a staged reading, House Manage a show and lots of fun doing overhire at various theatres in between. Peyton says “It has been the best year post graduation for me and I'm so thankful for the training I received at Lipscomb!” Peyton is kicking off this season with the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, assistant stage managing “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” one of her favorite Shakespeare plays. After that she will have a busy season ASMing all over town! Peyton, we are so proud of you and can't wait to see your amazing work this season on the Nashville stages!

This year started off with a bang! Congratulations to Dr. Christopher Bailey (department co-chair and professor), Sh’Ahr Blackburn (current student), Aleia Eagleton (’25 Alum) who performed in the Nashville Repertory Theatre Broadway Brunch. And additionally Hannah B***r (’21 Alum) who stage managed the event.

We could not be more proud of alumni, current students and professors who are actively out in the community sharing their talents and being the professionals we train to be.
