This panel conversation brings together the series’ Lead Residents to explore leadership, service, purpose, and vocation across Bible and theology, education, entrepreneurship studies, music and arts, and human services.

Moderated by Monchieré Holmes-Jones, ABC Trustee, the conversation features President Derrick Jackson, Dr. Gregory C. Hutchings, Jr., EJ Reed, Gina Miller, and Dr. James Wadley.

American Baptist College mourns the passing of Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby, a devoted alumnus, pastor, spiritual leader, and longtime member of the ABC family.

A graduate of American Baptist College, Bishop Kirby dedicated his life to faith, service, education, and uplifting communities. For more than four decades, his ministry at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Racine, Wisconsin, extended far beyond the walls of the church, touching generations through his leadership, compassion, and commitment to serving others.

For 24 years, Bishop Kirby faithfully served on the American Baptist College Board of Trustees, helping steward the mission of the institution that helped prepare him for a lifetime of Christian leadership and service. His commitment to ABC and to developing the next generation of leaders leaves a lasting imprint on the Holy Hill.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church family, and all who were blessed by his life and ministry.
