Some of the best career moves start with a classmate.

Ashley Chainani, MBA '24, and Sebastian Alamos, MBA '24, crossed paths recently in Houston at AARC's quarterly manager's meeting. After graduating together, Ashley recruited Sebastian to join the firm, and the two are once again working together — this time in a boardroom instead of a classroom.

This is what exactly what the Owen network was built for. Congratulations to Ashley and Sebastian on this full-circle moment. Go 'Dores!

What a week for Dari Sakhanova, Master of Marketing '27!

After earning the Arthur Ashe Jr. Leadership and Sportsmanship Award—one of the top national honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association—Dari was invited to the U.S. Open to celebrate the achievement.

She played on the tennis courts, toured the players’ lounge inside Arthur Ashe Stadium, crossed paths with Naomi Osaka and Madison Keys, and even had a surprise reunion with her former coach from Spain. She also received official U.S. Open accreditation and returned the next day to watch matches as an honored guest.

That’s quite a way to celebrate one of college tennis’s highest honors. Congratulations, Dari!

Big news: Our Master of Management program is going nationwide.

Launched last year as a nine-month, career-accelerating master's degree, the Master of Management was initially open only to Vanderbilt University undergraduate business minors. Starting Fall 2027, it's open to any four-year college graduate in the U.S.

We built this program to bridge the gap between graduation and a dynamic, meaningful career. Now, more students than ever can access it.

Hi, I’m Saumya!

This summer, I worked with Atmus Filtration Technologies as a strategy intern on the product and pricing team. I’ve had the opportunity to contribute across three different workstreams, gaining valuable exposure to strategy, product operations, and the industrial manufacturing space.

Filtration may not always be the most visible industry, but it plays an essential role in keeping the world moving efficiently and sustainably. Learning more about the business has been incredibly rewarding. I’m grateful for an amazing team, meaningful projects, and all the learning this summer!
