Kappa Chapter of Kappa Sigma at Vanderbilt University Since it’s founding at the University of Virginia in 1869, Kappa Sigma has initiated more than 245,000 men on college campuses throughout North America.

Today, the Fraternity has over 175,000 living alumni and more than 15,000 undergraduate members in 282 active chapters. Our proud history of producing campus leaders who go on to succeed in business, government, the armed services, sports, entertainment, and the arts has led to Kappa Sigma’s continuous and unparalleled growth across the continent. s a long history. Kappa is the 9th Chapter on the roll of Kappa Sigma Chapters and was founded on April 13, 1877. After a period of inactivity in the early 2000s the chapter returned to campus in 2008. This commitment to each other and to our Fraternity lives on in the Kappa Chapter of Kappa Sigma. Our members hail from all parts of the country, from Los Angeles to New York to Alabama, creating the most diverse brotherhood on campus. Our members strive to live up to Kappa Sigma’s principles of Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service by staying actively involved in Vanderbilt Student Government, Vanderbilt athletics, and many different student organizations. Our annual philanthropic events include a cornhole tournament to benefit Nashville RBI and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament to benefit the Military Heroes Campaign.
