Meet Dr. Virginia Boaz! With a background that spans opera direction, music education, and church music, Dr. Boaz brings a breadth of experience to her studio that is truly one of a kind. She has spent her career building musical communities and pouring into singers at every level. We're so glad she found her way to Belmont!

Dr. Kristi Whitten has been a cornerstone of the Belmont Classical Voice faculty since 2001, and in that time she has built a legacy that speaks for itself. A graduate of Indiana University, Dr. Whitten has directed Belmont Opera Theatre productions ranging from Le nozze di Figaro to Dialogues des Carmélites, shaped the careers of singers who have gone on to programs at Eastman, Indiana University, Northwestern, and New England Conservatory, and brought a depth of artistry and commitment to this program that runs through everything we do. We're so lucky to have her!

This past Sunday our Classical Singers Recital performers took the McAfee stage and were absolutely amazing - stunning performances, beautiful voices, and one really special afternoon we will not forget anytime soon.

To everyone who performed, thank you for sharing your voice, your artistry, and your heart with us. We could not be more proud!

This is what whole musician wellness looks like in practice. It makes for healthier, more self aware musicians. And it is exactly the kind of thoughtful, health centered pedagogy that makes the vocal pedagogy program at Belmont so special.
