Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded January 16, 1920, on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. by five phenomenal women on the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood. Delta Omicron Zeta Chapter, a graduate chapter, was chartered on May 10, 1943 in Boston, Massachusetts thanks to the hard work and steadfastness of its charter members: Sorors Ad

elle Evans, Odessa Skeete Hanks, Mary Holman, and Jaunita Williams. These four Dynamic women ensured that not only did Delta Omicron Zeta hold its own in Black Greekdom, but became a visible part of the Greek letter organizations in the Boston area. Delta Omicron Zeta Chapter sponsors the Boston metropolitan undergraduate chapter, Theta Alpha.

This past Saturday, the Delta Omicron Zeta Chapter volunteered at the annual Mattapan Unity 5K Fête!

This annual event brings together local residents, businesses, and community organizations to celebrate health, wellness, and community growth. Before and after the race, attendees had the opportunity to connect with local vendors and access valuable community health resources.

Our chapter member, Soror Nikkia Bell, had the pleasure of serving as the Cheer Coordinator, while other chapter members assisted with registration and cheered on participants at various cheer stations along the course. We also had the pleasure of connecting with Amica Johnson of the Zeta Amicae of Boston, who participated in the race. It was wonderful to see members of the Divine 9 community come together, with several organizations represented through both volunteers and runners.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside our community and support initiatives that promote health, wellness, and unity. 💙🤍

On this Finer Friday, the ladies of Delta Omicron Zeta proudly celebrate Soror Andrea Puckerine-Braxton on her retirement from Boston Public Schools!

Beginning her career in 1987, Soror Puckerine-Braxton has spent nearly four decades educating, inspiring, and impacting generations of Boston students across schools throughout the city. 📚✏️

Service doesn’t stop for the summer! Our August Adopt-a-Highway clean-up is in the books, and we’re grateful for the sisters of Delta Omicron Zeta Chapter who continue to show up and make a difference in our community. 💙♻️

Join the ladies of Delta Omicron Zeta Chapter for our monthly highway clean-up as we give back to our community. Together we’ll pick up litter and help beautify our local neighborhoods, one mile at a time.

Sisterhood Sunday 💙🕊️

The ladies of Delta Omicron Zeta Chapter had so much to celebrate while attending Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated’s 2026 Grand Boule! Our members were recognized for their outstanding achievements and had the honor of leading workshops on the international level.

💙 Soror Annette Draper-Moore was bestowed the title of Zeta Crystal Dove in recognition of her 50 years of dedicated membership in the organization.

🤍 Sorors Nerissa Smith and Mariah Smith-Sharpe were inducted into the Myrtle & Viola Tyler International Legacy Club.

💙 Sorors Ndidiamaka Amutah-Onukagha and Tiffany Vassell led the workshop, S.H.E. Leads: Advancing Health Equity Through Strategy, Sisterhood, and the BluePrint Report.

We are incredibly proud of our chapter members and congratulate them on these well-deserved accomplishments!

Finer Friday: Grand Boulé 2026 💙🕊️

On this Finer Friday, the ladies of Delta Omicron Zeta Chapter are reflecting on an unforgettable week in Nashville, Tennessee, at the 2026 Grand Boulé!

We embraced scholarship by attending inspiring educational workshops that strengthened our leadership and expanded our knowledge. We demonstrated service by participating in S.H.E. Serves Nashville, where we helped provide education and valuable resources to the local community. We celebrated sisterhood by fellowshipping with sorors from around the world and enjoying a performance by Choppa that brought Choppa Style to life. We embodied Finer Womanhood as we welcomed 18 new honorary members into our beloved sisterhood, the largest honorary class in our history.

A heartfelt thank you to the Delta Omicron Zeta Chapter delegates and members who represented our chapter with excellence, and handled the business of our beloved sorority.

The ladies of Delta Omicron Zeta Chapter wrapped up an incredible sorority year with an afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun at our End-of-Year Cookout! 💙🤍

We were thrilled to celebrate alongside the Zeta Amicae of Boston, Zeta Youth Affiliates of Boston, and Zeta Male Network of Boston as we reflected on a year filled with scholarship, service, and community impact.

Thank you to everyone who joined us as we celebrated our accomplishments, strengthened our bonds, and enjoyed one another’s company in the true spirit of social camaraderie. Here’s to another amazing year of serving our community together!

Last month, the ladies of Delta Omicron Zeta Chapter were honored to participate in Boston’s annual Juneteenth Parade, walking proudly alongside our fellow members of the National Pan-Hellenic Council. We also enjoyed celebrating and fellowshipping with everyone at the annual Juneteenth Picnic in Boston. We were proud to stand in unity with our Divine Nine family and the greater Boston community as we celebrated this important day of remembrance and hope.
