Create a pollinator puddling station activity 🦋
Some butterflies and other pollinators visit damp soil, sand, or shallow water sources to gather moisture and minerals. This behavior is called puddling — and it’s a fun way to teach children that pollinator habitat is about more than flowers alone.
Join the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners for a free children’s activity during our Certified Pollinator Habitat event at Louise W. Moore Park. Children will create a simple pollinator puddling station and learn how small habitat features can help support pollinators.
This activity is designed for children. No registration required. First come basis while supplies last.
