Something unusual has been happening...

Over the years, cybersecurity professionals have shared stories about a mysterious organization known only as The Cipher Society.

No one knows exactly when it was formed.

No one knows who its members are.

Some believe it was founded by educators determined to teach future defenders how to think rather than simply memorize.

Others believe it was created by cybersecurity professionals who wanted to preserve their knowledge for the next generation.

What everyone agrees on is this:

The Cipher Society never recruited members.

Recently, several of those archived transmissions have resurfaced.

Beginning this Friday, Hocking College Cybersecurity will release one recovered transmission each week.

Each transmission is inspired by real cybersecurity concepts and investigative techniques used by professionals in the field.

Welcome to the first OSINT Tuesday hosted by Hocking College Cybersecurity!

Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) is the practice of finding, collecting, and analyzing information from publicly available sources. It's a valuable skill in cybersecurity, digital forensics, journalism, law enforcement, and threat intelligence.

This challenge is designed to help you think like an investigator.

🟢 Challenge

Can you identify where this photo was taken?

Study the image carefully and use publicly available resources to determine the location.

Rules

✅ Use only publicly available information (OSINT).

✅ Any public search tool is fair game, including:

* Google Search
* Google Lens
* Bing Visual Search
* Yandex Images
* OpenStreetMap
* Google Maps
* Street View
* News articles
* Social media
* Public records
* Any other legal OSINT resource

❌ Do not ask AI chatbots for the answer.
