**Upward Bound applications are due on September 18th - with interviews starting later in the month

We decided to take a short day trip before school started! We went to Johnson County Community College and then visited the Harry S. Truman museum and library. We finished up with dinner at our favorite Italian buffet Cinzetti’s!

Are you passionate about helping high school students achieve their college and career goals? We're looking for a dedicated Academic Coordinator to join our Upward Bound team!

As an Academic Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in supporting students by:
🎓 Recruiting and mentoring participants
📚 Developing individualized Educational Action Plans (EAPs)
📊 Monitoring academic progress and providing ongoing support
🤝 Building strong relationships with students, parents, school counselors, and tutors
🚌 Chaperoning educational, cultural, and college visit opportunities

This is a full-time, grant-funded position dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of local high school students.

We visited the Smithsonian Museums and experienced America’s favorite passtime, at a Nationals vs. Yankees game!

Bridge Trip Day 2:
A looong day of exploring! We started off with a tour of U.S. Capitol and visited the House Chambers. We saw Chinatown and the Peterson house, where Lincoln passed away. We then ended our day with an evening tour of the monuments.
