Come Help feed the hungry! This is a collaboration with the CCSU Management and Design Departments, as well as Smalley Elementary School, the CCSU Art Department is creating bowls to raise money for the Friendship Center in New Britain through an Empty Bowls event in November.

We are looking for Skilled potters that can throw and participants of all levels to help with everything that goes with producing a large number of bowls in a short period of time.

Schedule:
Friday October 21: throwing day 4-8 pm Saturday October 22: trimming day 3-7 pm Sunday October 30: glazing and kiln loading 3 pm

Today, we are going back to Round Trip Clayworks’ (Drew Darley and Erika Novak ) Working Potter article in the June/July/August 2021 issue. Darley and Novak create pottery individually and collaboratively in Avon, Connecticut. Working as full-time artists has granted them freedom and flexibility. Day 1 at Central Connecticut State University. We are all on ground but the snow that came on kept 2 students at home. They are all set up with their studios and we are all set up for online teaching so all is good.
