Welcome to the Official Masjid Al Taqwa/Islamic Association of Central Connecticut page. It is our honor and high privilege to welcome you to the Masjid Altaqwa page site. It is through the Gracious Mercy of Allah (SWT) that we are able to provide the few humble services for the community. Pray that Allah (SWT) guides us all in his Mercy and forgives our transgressions. We serve a commun

ity in New Britain, CT that is comprised of Muslims from Yemen, Sudan, Morocco, Pakistan, South East Asia, and other muslim countries. Our community consists of approximately 300-400 families in the immediate area. We are located about 2 miles from Central Connecticut State University and we draw Muslims from surrounding towns including West Hartford, Newington, Farmington, Berlin, and other areas. We, the members of Muslim Community of Central Connecticut, aspire to be a community “Enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah” (The Holy Qur’an, 3:110), conscious of the injunctions to “Hold fast, all together, to the bond with Allah and be not divided” (The Holy Qur’an, 3:103) and “Help one another to virtue and God-consciousness and do not help one another to sin and transgression” (The Holy Qur’an, 5:2). Our Mission:
Establish congregational prayers and carry out other religious activities that are open fully to men, women and children. Strengthen fraternal bonds and brotherly relations among Muslims
Promote friendly relations with people of other faith and present Islam to them
Cultivate cooperation with existing Muslim organizations and communities
