This is what town-gown relations should be all about. We are so proud of this collaboration with the Bloustein School marking 25 years since Memorial Homes’ demolition here in New Brunswick. Take a look at this feature by Cheryl Makin on the exhibit, which featured research by planning students, original artworks by graduate art students Jules Gårder (whose work is pictured here), Sylvan Hamburger, Nina Macintosh, and Jake Paron, artifacts and oral histories from community members, and photographs by Mason Gross alumni Ben Gest and Phil Buehler. Bravi to all! Story link in comments.

After stepping off the graduation stage at State Theatre New Jersey this past May, Mason Gross Dance alum Jazlyn Carreras (BFA ‘26) stepped back into the spotlight at MetLife Stadium this past Sunday, performing in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Closing Ceremony! 💃⚽

Dressed in a gold tracksuit, Carreras performed during streamer iShowSpeed’s segment of the sendoff celebration, following the tournament’s final match between Spain and Argentina.

“This is a moment that I have worked for my whole life,” Carreras says. “To have just graduated college and be living the life I always wanted is truly a dream come true. Dancing in front of almost 100,000 people was the most thrilling feeling! Walking out and hearing the crowd roar felt like a movie scene.”

And we had to ask—which team was Carreras rooting for in the final?

“LET'S GO SPAIN!” 🇪🇸🏆
