Rowan University’s Chapter of the American Choral Director’s Association 🎶

In the first week of August, Rowan ACDA E-Board members had the opportunity to serve as Collegiate Ambassadors at the NJACDA Summer Conference!!

We worked with SSA and SATB choirs, assisted with check-in and rehearsal room logistics, led warm-ups, and shared feedback on pieces.

We would like to thank NJACDA Past President Libby Gopal for this wonderful volunteer opportunity, as well as Amanda Hanzlik and Patrick Hachey for welcoming us into their respective choirs and helping us grow as future music educators!!

In July, members of Rowan ACDA had the opportunity to serve as Vocal Camp Counselors for Rowan University!!

We got to lead sectionals, run pieces, facilitate fun activities, and learn how to manage and lead a choir.

We would like to thank Dr. Thomas for this incredible opportunity, as well as our professional teachers, Melissa Manzano and Patrick Carpenter, for all their guidance and support!!

During the last week of June, our social media coordinator Vera (hello!) travelled to Princeton University to participate in the King’s Singer’s summer school as an apprentice! She sang with two groups and had several opportunities to sing alongside the King’s Singers themselves. What an amazing experience making music with so many amazing humans! 🎶
