🚲New Jersey’s rapid growth in e-bike use is bringing new regulations—and new questions about how residents view and use e-bikes. VTC’s Hannah Younes, PhD, and Yingning Xie surveyed more than 1,000 adults, highlighting the successes and challenges of e-bike rebate programs and recommending community demo events to help residents try e-bikes and learn about the new state law.

🎨 Are the colors fading from Peshawar’s public transportation?

Truck art has long been a defining feature of public transportation in Peshawar, Pakistan—transforming buses and vehicles into vibrant expressions of local art, culture, and identity. But as the city modernizes its transit system, many of these colorful buses are disappearing from the streets.

In Pakistan and across the global Pakistani diaspora, truck art has become an internationally recognized symbol of national identity. Yet even as truck art-inspired artwork and décor grow in popularity, the tradition itself faces an uncertain future.

In a new video and paper, Bloustein School PhD student Shahan Ahmed explores how the commodification of truck art and the modernization of Peshawar’s transit system are reshaping this distinctive cultural tradition.
