We study the evolutionary origins and maintenance of biodiversity, conserving and restoring native ecosystems, and issues of global change such as managing natural resources within urban ecosystems.

OPEN HOUSE and WeDigBio night at the Chrysler Herbarium

Become an Herbarium Army intern for a few hours and help us discover and write down label data from thousands of our specimens as part of WeDigBio 2019 – a global, annual volunteer event for biodiversity science. Bring a laptop and we will train you on the spot. Food, buttons, and stickers for all participants! All students, staff, faculty and other volunteers welcome.
