Joseph Gindi, a double major in Jewish studies and economics, completed his capstone project for the Rutgers Honors College under the mentorship of Professor Gary Rendsburg. The two produced a complete transcription of what is believed to be the oldest Mishnah manuscript ever discovered. Jewish studies award funds enabled Joe to travel to the University of Cambridge to examine a large part of their manuscript firsthand in the Cairo Geniza collection. He will attend Harvard Law School in the fall. Congratulations, Joe!
