Cook Community Alumni Association

Cook Community Alumni Association This page is for all of our beloved and appreciated alumni of the land grant school at Rutgers

As part of the Rutgers University Alumni Association, the Cook College Alumni Association represents and draws together over 20,000 alumni of the land grant school at Rutgers. In 2014, the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences celebrated 150 years of education and service to the State of New Jersey in agriculture and environmental science. Today we connect graduates across the years with

a variety of events and programs we host and co-sponsor throughout the year. We actively support the continued growth and development of the School through scholarships and donations that support and advance our educational and research efforts. Through posts on this page, we provide news and information about events and programs being hosted by the Association, student organizations, and the administration and faculty of the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. In this way, we are able to connect all to continue the growth and development of our alma mater and each other. While the names have changed over time, the School and the Alumni Association remain focused on agriculture, the environment, and the research and education critical to ensuring a healthy, clean world in which to live. Nomenclature:
1864 The Rutgers Scientific School
1917 State College of Agriculture
1965 College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences
1971 Cook College
2006 School of Environmental and Biological Sciences

We hope you will remain in contact and take part in one or more of our annual events:
Life After College,
Ag Field Day at Rutgers Day in April,
Annual Meeting in April,
Fish Fry in July,
and others

It is with profound sadness that we share news of the passing of Cook Community Alumni Association Past President, Alan Grossman. His obituary below notes that Cook College was "a source of a core set of lifelong friends." We can all appreciate that sentiment! And so many of us were counted among those friends!

Our Association extends our deepest sympathy to Alan's family and friends. He will be missed!

Convocation is May 18th for SEBS students. We're looking for a few alumni to help prepare bags for our newest alumni and pass them out after they cross the stage at Passion Puddle. This includes a red oak seedling for each student! We start at 8am and are finished around 1pm.

This means you would also get to hear our commencement speaker, Dr. Adam Christman, Cook College class of 2000 who is now the chief veterinary officer for dvm360, their brand voice and personality.

If interested in helping please respond here or better, email is at [email protected]
