It is the nation's oldest, largest and foremost Fraternity for Engineers. The purpose of Theta Tau is to develop and maintain a high standard of professional interest among its members, and to unite them in a strong bond of fraternal fellowship. In order to be eligible to join Theta Tau Omicron Delta Chapter, one must: Be eighteen years or older, meet requirements regulated by OFSA (including hold
ing a Rutgers University GPA of a 2.5 or above), and attend rush events of the semester you would like to join. As a new member and brother of Theta Tau Omicron Delta Chapter, we expect commitment, excitement, and pride of our three pillars - Professionalism, Service, and Brotherhood. New members have a higher, one-time only fee of $250 (subject to change). Theta Tau's hazing policy in strictly compliant with OFSA's policy on hazing. Hazing is defined as any action or situation which includes any mental or physical requirement, request or
obligation placed upon any person (pledge, new member, associate member, member, affiliate, guest)
which could cause discomfort, pain, fright, disgrace, injury or which is personally degrading or which
violates any federal, state, local statute or University policy. Any activity described in this definition
upon which the initiation, or admission into, or affiliation with, or continued membership in an
organization is directly or indirectly conditional, shall be presumed to be "forced" activity.
1. No person shall recklessly participate in the hazing of another.
2. No student or advisor shall knowingly permit the hazing of another.
3. No student or advisor shall fail to report hazing.
4. The negligence or consent of the student/participant or any assumption or risk by the
student/participant is not a defense to any action brought pursuant to this policy. Theta Tau Omicron Delta Chapter alcohol policy during recruitment and pledge weeks are reinforced by every brother of the fraternity. There is to be absolutely no alcohol at any recruitment or pledge events. Any intoxication sensed during an event is scheduled for dismissal of the event and automatic ineligibility to become a member of Theta Tau.
