Rutgers professor Toby Jones, a specialist in the history of oil, energy, and the Middle East, is the author of Desert Kingdom: How Oil and Water Forged Modern Saudi Arabia (Harvard University Press, 2010).

Check out this opportunity for all current Rutgers students and alumni interested in Public History, Museums, and public engagement.

The Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums conference is being hosted at Rutgers this fall: https://midatlanticmuseums.org/annual-meeting/registration/

There will be museum staff attending from hundreds of regional museums, so it's a great place to identify possible career development opportunities. There's also a student poster session if you'd like to share your work.

Don't miss this chance to hear Serena Zabin, Rutgers History PhD, speak about her new book at Princeton University.

Next Thursday, May 7 at Princeton University , the Revolution Up Close lecture series continues with an examination of The Boston Massacre of 1770 presented by Serena Zabin, Professor of History and the Liberal Arts at Carleton College.

Revolution Up Close is presented in connection with "Nursery of Rebellion: Princeton and the American Revolution," an exhibit at the Princeton University Library which runs from April 15 to July 12, 2026.

The Princeton Public Library is proud to be one of the community partners on this lecture series. Free and open to all. No registration required.
