The Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association (LSRPA) is seeking student volunteers for its annual New Jersey Site Remediation Conference (NJSRC), being held at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick on June 14-15, 2022. It is a great opportunity to build your network, seek internship opportunities and meet potential employers for free!
They are looking for student volunteers to help over the two days of the conference. Volunteers assist with registration, organization, and conference logistics, and in doing so, you will have the opportunity to network with conference attendees and on-site vendors. You will also be able to attend and assist with at least one of the eleven seminars being offered. The seminars cover such diverse topics as: Navigating the PFAS Investigation Process, Advancing Brownfield Remediation and Redevelopment, Contaminants of Emerging Concern, Environmental Justice and Advancements in Chemical and Biological Remediation Technologies. (See the conference schedule for more course titles: https://bit.ly/39sTEqd)
They're seeking volunteers who are available for half-day or full day shifts on one or both days of the conference. Each volunteer will receive free admission to the conference, parking fee reimbursement (or train fare reimbursement to/from New Brunswick) and meals during their shift. And, of course, the amazing networking opportunity described above. Graduate students and upper-level undergraduate students are also encouraged to apply.
The NJSRC is the ONLY Conference dedicated to site remediation in New Jersey. In attendance will be environmental professionals representing many different companies. Conference attendees include environmental consultants, attorneys, contractors, laboratories, and vendors of environmental services. It is a good place to introduce yourself to dozens of environmental professionals and companies to expand your knowledge and network.
