Curriculum/Program
Qur‘aan
Traditionally, in Islaamic societies, the first education that children received was memorizing the Qur‘aan. Darul Amaanah continues this tradition as the memorization of Islaam’s Holy Scripture is given the utmost attention. Each year, students memorize two parts of the thirty that make up the Qur‘aan. Qur‘aanic studies also include commentary of the Qur‘aan (Tafseer) and the science of recitation (Tajweed). Hadeeth
In this introductory study of hadeeth, the students’ skills in Arabic Language are strengthened as they memorize hadeeth from the curriculum of the Islaamic University of Medinah second level of the Arabic Program. Vocabulary is increased and Arabic grammar skills are reinforced as students committee to memory the sayings of the Messenger of Allaah (Sallallaahu‘ alaihi wa sallem). Islaamic Studies
The Islaamic Studies Program is unique and comprehensive. It stresses Islaamic tradition, heritage, and identity. It challenges the students academically and fosters an atmosphere conducive to the development of Islaamic morals, values, and ideals. With this foundation, students will continually seek knowledge, think critically, and become active learners. The program prepares students for the challenges they will face as they proceed in their educational and professional careers. Arabic
Darul Amaanah believes that it is important for all students to learn Arabic. Arabic is the language of the Noble Qur'aan and Muslims are expected to be well versed in it and fully aware of its usage.
