West Nile is spread by mosquitoes and is the leading cause of mosquito-borne disease in the continental U.S. Most people who are infected do not develop symptoms, but for those who do, they may experience fever, headache, body aches, vomiting, diarrhea, or rash. Instead of a traditional final paper, four Yale School of Public Health students chose to build something different last semester — a podcast about vaccines and the science behind them. The professor of the class, Kristina Talbert-Slagle, PhD, joined them for an episode to discuss her personal story about choosing to vaccinate her children.
