📣 We’re hiring! 🦉

The Department of Communication Disorders at Southern Connecticut State University is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Speech-Language Pathology!

Responsibilities include graduate and undergraduate teaching, engagement in interprofessional education and practice, participation in scholarly activities, and clinical instruction/supervision.

Eligible candidates should have interests in teaching, research, and clinical practice in one or more of the following areas: child language development and disorders, speech sound disorders, anatomy and physiology, aphasia, motor speech disorders, and/or cognitive communication disorders. Experience in bilingual and/or multicultural issues is a plus. Candidates with expertise in other related areas will also be considered.

Let's all give a MASSIVE welcome to Cayla White, M.S., CCC-SLP — one of our very own alums — as our newest faculty member!

Cayla brings incredible clinical experience across educational and medical settings into our classrooms and clinical spaces. Her research interests include counseling & trauma-informed care, family-centered approaches, and disability advocacy — areas that enrich the educational experience of our amazing 💙🦉

We’re so lucky to have her back at SCSU, now as faculty, to teach, mentor, and inspire the next generation of speech-language pathologists!
