Congratulations to Physical Education Bachelor of Science, Concentration in Pre-Teacher Certification program major, Matthew Montanez!

Montanez has recently been appointed as one of three student leaders of the national organization SHAPE America’s National Student Leadership Network. The network holds monthly virtual gatherings for meeting physical education majors from around the country, professional development opportunities, and leadership training.

The SCSU Physical Education teacher candidates took their learning outdoors!

Our students in HMS 315 – Teaching Outdoor Pursuits and Adventure Education in Physical Education recently completed hands-on coursework at Camp Awosting in Morris, CT. Experiences like these prepare future PE teachers to inspire movement, teamwork, and adventure in their own classrooms.
