At an Oct. 9 pop-up event at Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript, Yale President Maurie McInnis had a close look at the charter that established Yale in 1701. She was joined by Michael Morand, director of community engagement at Yale Library and New Haven City historian, and by students and other visitors gathered for the "birthday" celebration.

After nearly a century, six lost leaves found in The Keep archive in England have been "reunited" with the rest of the manuscript, held in Beinecke Library.

Thanks to the library’s ongoing digitization efforts, scholars matched the handwriting, page dimensions and marginalia to prove the connection between the loose leaves and Takamiya MS 20.
