Some of the most powerful reminders of legacy can be found in the simplest places. ✨

In Week 5 of his Rome Seminar series, President Marc M. Camille, Ed.D., reflects on his visit to Santa Maria Maggiore, where the grandeur of centuries-old mosaics, architecture, and artwork stands in striking contrast to Pope Francis’ simple tomb, marked only by the name “Franciscus.”

For Dr. Camille, the experience became a reflection on Pope Francis’ enduring influence, Pope Leo XIV’s commitment to carrying that legacy forward, and what legacy means for Albertus Magnus College as it begins its second century.

The values we inherit are not simply meant to be remembered. They are meant to be lived and carried forward.

Campus was buzzing today at our Student Involvement Fair! 👏

Students had the chance to connect with the upperclassmen who lead our clubs and organizations, hear what they’re all about, and maybe find something that sparks their interest.

Getting involved is about finding your people, trying something new, and doing something you genuinely enjoy. Along the way, you’re also building experiences and stories that you’ll be glad to have when it’s time for that first job interview.

And remember: just because your friends aren’t doing it doesn’t mean it’s not for you. Follow what interests you and see where it takes you. You might just find something you love, and that’s pretty cool, too. ✨

✨ Mansion Monday: Mohun Hall ✨

Before it became part of Albertus Magnus College, Mohun Hall was the private home of Charles Franklin Bliss, president of the Bridgeport Forge Co., and his family.

Built in 1919 at 765 Prospect Street, the Bliss home was designed as a place for gathering and hospitality. Shortly after moving in, Bliss installed an electric pipe organ beneath the foyer staircase, allowing music to fill the home during family celebrations and gatherings, including Yale reunions hosted at the residence.

After the passing of Charles and Eliza Bliss, their daughters sold the property to Albertus Magnus College in 1948. The College named the building Mohun Hall in honor of Mother Stephanie Mohun, O.P., one of Albertus’ founders.

Throughout its history, Mohun Hall has served many purposes, including a residence hall, dining space, and classroom. Today, the historic mansion is home to the Office of Advancement and the Admissions team supporting traditional undergraduate students, continuing to welcome members of the Albertus community through its doors.

A little message from home. đź’Ś

Move-In Day is full of excitement, anticipation, and maybe a few happy tears. We asked Albertus Magnus College parents to share a special message to their kids as they begin this new chapter.

Their words were a beautiful reminder that while college is about finding your own path, the love and support of home comes with you. ❤️

Welcome to campus, Falcons! 🦅 We’re so glad you’re here.
