What can a round of golf do? ⛳

Since 2019, the Albertus Magnus College Golf Classic has raised more than $600,000 in scholarship support, helping students access a life-changing education.

Join us next Monday, June 22, as alumni, business leaders, and community partners come together at the New Haven Country Club for our 8th Annual Golf Classic. Every swing helps create opportunities for the next generation of Albertus students!

She earned her Master of Science in Management and Organizational Leadership during one of the most challenging seasons of her life.

Samantha Pannone ’09, ’22 M.S., HR Generalist at Albertus Magnus College, was working full time, raising her children, and navigating a demanding personal season when she made the decision to return to graduate school.

She did not pause her life to do it. She learned in the middle of it.

Through the MSMOL program, Samantha began applying leadership concepts directly to her work in Human Resources. What she was learning in class started to show up in how she approached people, communication, and workplace culture.

Over time, she noticed real change in herself. Stronger confidence. More clarity. A clearer sense of direction in her career.

As a double alumna, her story reflects what it really looks like to grow while life is still moving.

Head Coach. Coach of the Year. Sport Management graduate. 🏒🎓

Carly Bokina ’26’s journey with the Masuk co-op girls’ ice hockey program this past 2025 season began as an internship through her studies at Albertus Magnus College and grew into a transformational leadership experience.

As Head Coach, Carly learned how to lead a team through confidence, communication and accountability. She developed skills in decision-making, athlete development and relationship-building that extended far beyond the ice.

Her experience reflects the value of Albertus’ Sport Management program, where students combine business-focused coursework with hands-on experience in real sport settings, preparing them for careers in the industry.

Looking back, Carly emphasizes that her biggest growth came from stepping into leadership and learning to trust herself in high-pressure situations.

What does graduate school look like when life does not slow down? 🎨🤔

For Erika Arconti-Galassi ’26 M.A., it meant balancing work as a teacher, clinician, and mother while completing the Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling (MAATC) program at Albertus Magnus College.

The MAATC program is designed for adult learners who are integrating graduate study with ongoing professional and personal responsibilities, not stepping away from them.

Her final research focused on parental burnout among working mothers and examined how art therapy can help make sense of stress, identity, and emotional overload across multiple life roles.

Her work reflects the realities many adult learners are navigating, and the kind of applied, reflective learning this program is built to support.
