Twenty years ago, an ambitious idea was planted: that our most pressing environmental challenges could be met by bringing together the worlds of business and the environment to develop the ideas, partnerships, and do-ers needed to create a more resilient future for people and the planet.
Over the past two decades, that seed has grown into a global network of students, faculty, alumni, and practitioners whose work continues to shape industries, influence policy, and inspire new ways of thinking about sustainability.
As we begin celebrating our 20th anniversary, we're delighted to launch a new website dedicated to the story of CBEY.
Inside, you'll find the roots of our journey, from our founding and defining milestones to the programs, partnerships, and people who have helped our ecosystem reach farther than we could have imagined. It's a place to reflect on where we've been, honor those who made it possible, and imagine what comes next.
But anniversaries are about more than looking back. They are moments to pause, celebrate how far we've come, and gather momentum for the path ahead.
Over the coming year, we'll continue sharing stories from across the CBEY community, showcasing optimists taking action: the people and ideas that have shaped our first twenty years while exploring the possibilities that lie on the horizon.
