Today is Global Running Day! There are many races and routes in New Haven that Yalies take advantage of. 👟
🏃♂️Faxon Law : Starting on the New Haven Green on Labor Day every year, many Yalies participate in the 5k and half marathon, with some residential colleges even giving out free registration codes!
🌎 Run for Refugees: Annual 5K run and walk hosted by IRIS (Integrated Refugee & Immigrant Services), a non-profit in CT. The event raises funds to support refugees and immigrants as they establish new lives in the US.
🐛 Camper Scamper: Annual 5k hosted by Camp Kesem Yale, Yale’s chapter of a national non-profit that provides free summer camp and year-round support to children who have been impacted by a family member’s cancer. Proceeds from the race go towards supporting this mission.
Beyond these races, there are also many places around New Haven that are great places to run, such as to and in East Rock Park and on the Farmington Canal Trail.
