♥️ We’re thrilled to be joined by two wonderful alumni from different fields to offer clear perspectives on how arts 🎨 and technology 📱 helped them in their professional journeys.

✅ Robert- Eric Gaskill (2001) is an experienced audio professional and a leader in the field of graphene acoustics 🔊

- Dr. Gaskill has worked in audio product design, research, and development originally starting with AEA in Pasadena designing ribbon microphones, microphone preamplifiers and stereo microphone positioners 🧠

- He is currently the Co-Founder and VP Product of Ora Graphene Audio Inc. where he has several patents, including Ora’s main patent for the graphene loudspeaker membrane technology 📑

✅ Liza Miller (2019) is currently working as a Carpenter & LFX Fabricator for a fabrication shop in Brooklyn, NY ⚙️

- She is getting a CAD Certificate from the Pratt Institute

- Previously, she has done prop design for theater 🎭, video editing for Paramount 🎥, and graphic design for a comedy club 🎤!

🗓️ Taking place this Saturday, October 10th @ the Shain Library Visualization Wall from 11:16-12:15!

🌟Anna Anthropy🌟, a game designer and educator, will focus on the increasing digitization of video games 🎮 , making the case that only recently did they become truly digital 👾

🗣️This discussion seeks to reimagine the format of digital games by examining their relationship to the physical world 🌎

🌟Join us for the grand opening of “We Live Here/New London”! 🌟

‼️Free event,open to all!

🗓️ Thursday, September 24th 7-9pm @ The Garde Arts Center & The Garde Gallery

305-325 State Street, New London, CT

To celebrate the opening of We Live Here/New London, artists and musicians will animate the façade of the Garde Arts Center with a real-time, moving image and sound collage! 🎨🖌️

The animation will incorporate original artwork 🖼️ , historical photography 📸music 🎶, and video 🎥, celebrating the city as a home to all its residents 🏠❤️.

🎶 Live music by Brisa Azul!

🚗 Need a ride? Holleran Center is providing shuttles 6:45pm - 9:00pm from the campus Lyft stop.*

Our SIP open house starts tomorrow and runs until May 8th, open from 10am-3pm every day at 768 Williams Street! We will also have a special presentation tomorrow from 1pm-3pm featuring demos and a poster session from our six incredible seniors. Can’t wait to see everyone there!

Make sure to check out Ammerman student Jonah Hane’s Theater Capstone Performance! He will be giving a capstone in playwriting with “Verdant”, a tale of two siblings, a wolf, and the absence that haunts a tiny, peaceful town. Verdant blends the grotesque and the intimate in a story about love, growth, abandonment, and need.

The play reading will be on April 28th at 8pm in the Gallows Theater!
