Meet 1/c Emma Acker!
From Springfield, Virginia, Emma serves as the Regimental First Lieutenant while majoring in Cyber Systems and playing women’s soccer.
Her favorite spot on campus? Crown Park, where she enjoys one of the best views of the Thames River and campus. Some of her favorite CGA memories come from summers spent traveling the world and making memories with her best friends.
As she looks toward the fleet, Emma is excited to explore new places, experience different cultures, try new foods and meet new people.
Her leadership philosophy is simple: lead with enthusiasm, genuinely care about your people and “Remember Your Why.” 💗🍀🌎

This weekend, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy welcomed home generations of alumni to celebrate tradition, pride, and lifelong connections during Homecoming Weekend.
On the Washington Parade Field, the Corps of Cadets stood tall for the Regimental Review.
Following the review, we were incredibly honored to celebrate the Class of 1976 as they received their 50th Year Medallions in front of the Corps.

Ethics in action. ⚓
View highlights from this year’s Rear Admiral Thomas Wetmore Annual Ethics Forum at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy! The theme of this year’s forum was Disciplined Initiative in the Armed Forces.
For more than 30 years, this forum has challenged cadets to confront real-world ethical dilemmas through honest dialogue with experienced leaders. From keynotes and panel discussions to engaging classroom breakouts, our future officers explored what it truly means to lead with honor, respect, and devotion to duty.
A special thank you to our guest speakers, panelists, and the steadfast support of the Classes of 1948 and 1957 for investing in the ethical foundation of tomorrow's Coast Guard leaders.
