A closer look at the LSU Department of Orthopaedics’ training experience at Manning Family Children’s. 💜💛

At this rotation, second- and fourth-year residents have the opportunity to strengthen their skills in pediatric orthopaedics while caring for young patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Training at Manning Family Children’s gives residents valuable hands-on experience while continuing to learn from experienced orthopaedic specialists right here in New Orleans.

This rotation is an important part of preparing our residents to provide thoughtful, specialized care to pediatric patients throughout their careers.

During their time in Lafayette, our residents gain valuable hands-on experience while continuing to strengthen their clinical decision-making and surgical skills. Third- and fifth-year residents have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and experience a high level of autonomy while working alongside attending physicians.

The Lafayette training site gives residents the chance to put their orthopaedic knowledge into practice, build confidence, and prepare for the next stage of their careers.
