Attention writers and poets of Xavier University of Louisiana! 🎉 We're thrilled to announce the 2024 Creative Writing Awards, generously funded by the Truman Capote Literary Trust. 📚✨

🏆 What's at stake? Three outstanding undergraduates will each snag a $20,000 scholarship to ease their tuition burdens for the next academic year.

🖋️ Your task? Craft an original piece that showcases your artistic ambition and ability. From poetry to prose, drama, or a mixed-genre entry—express yourself! Work on these during the break if you can!

📌 Guidelines matter! Ensure your work adheres to specified formats and deadlines. From single-spaced poetry to double-spaced prose, we want to see your creativity shine.

🗓️ Don't miss the deadline! Submissions will be accepted from January 9, 2024, to February 2, 2024. 🕛 Mark your calendars and drop off your sealed entry packet at the Library’s Civic Center.

🏅 Winners get a chance to read from their work in public and may even be considered for publication by New Voices!
