🎉 Big news at LSU Health New Orleans for Louisiana! We are thrilled to welcome Puneeth Iyengar, MD, PhD, as the inaugural Chair of our newly established academic Department of Radiation Oncology in the LSU School of Medicine-New Orleans.

A Louisiana native, Dr. Iyengar is returning home after serving in nationally recognized leadership roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he directed the Metastatic Service, and previously at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he held several leadership positions in radiation oncology research and strategy.

This marks an exciting new chapter for and the LSU LCMC Health Cancer Center, and reflects our continued commitment to advancing cancer care, transformative research, and world-class medical education. We are thrilled to have Dr. Iyengar's leadership as we build the future of radiation oncology in Louisiana.
