It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Brother Jeremy Herschaft, who laid down his working tools yesterday at the age of 49.
Brother Herschaft came to us in 2002 as an Eagle Scout—articulate, athletic, and full of promise. Though we hoped to see him in our officer lineup, the Grand Architect of the Universe led him to Manhattan and Houston as a successful, humble Maritime Attorney. An avid marathoner and devoted family man, he balanced a thriving life with unwavering loyalty to our Craft. When diagnosed with brain cancer, he fought with immense fortitude at MD Anderson, even running again to raise money for cancer research.
Our deepest sympathies are with his wife and three young children.
