Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated’s®️ Alpha Beta Omega Chapter invites our community to the 4th Annual Black Dollar Days.

❤️🖤💚Come out for a day of commUNITY, wellness, and support of local Black businesses.

Inclusive Care will be providing free blood pressure screenings, and Access Health will offer vision screenings along with valuable health information and resources. Attendees can also enjoy free raffles throughout the day, as well as food and music.

🩷💚 Black Dollar Days are almost here! 🩷💚

This June, we invite every member to join us for the final Black Dollar Days of the Soaring Administration.

Through the power of intentional spending, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® members have invested more than $50 million in Black-owned businesses during this administration. This June, we’re building on that legacy with a goal of spending $8 million more.

Every Pink Friday, we encourage Sisters to “Wear Pink, Spend Green, and Buy Black” by spending at least $19.08 with a Black-owned business.

This morning, Alpha Beta Omega Chapter members and volunteers worked with the Glass Roots Group of Glass Half Full - .co . We filled 280 bags of sand (8400 pounds) for the Louisiana Coastline.

♻️Over this last century, the Louisiana coast line has slowly eroded due to the steady depletion of wetlands along the state’s coastline in marshes, swamps, and barrier islands, particularly affecting the alluvial basin surrounding the mouth of the Mississippi River.

♻️One consequence of coastal erosion is an increased vulnerability to hurricane storm surges, which affects the New Orleans metropolitan area and other communities in our region.

🩷💚As we continue to enhance our environment, supporting projects with Glass Half Full, help us contribute to change for our community.
