That Master of Science degree is a one-year non-thesis degree requiring students to take 30 credit hours during 2 semesters. Our coursework emphasizes foundational classes in cell and molecular biology while introducing students to more clinically relevant topics such as human anatomy, histology, embryology, biochemistry, physiology, and disease. Coursework is supplemented with service learning an

d shadowing at local hospitals, clinics, Coroner's offices, research labs, and other locations around New Orleans, selected to enhance student preparation for their career paths. Development of students' presentation skills through research seminars and Journal Clubs, as well as personal and professional development through career seminars are important aspects of this program. Our faculty works with each student's unique strengths and weaknesses in order to assist them in meeting their career goals. In addition, this program incorporates both MCAT and DAT preparation classes, conducted by Kaplan Instructors. Tuition for the One-Year Masters program is offered at the discounted rate of $11,750 per semester (regular Tulane tuition is $23,163 per semester). Upon acceptance, a $500 deposit is required, which is applied to the tuition. Additional required fees charged each semester are not discounted, and include academic support services fees ($400), student health service fees ($320), Reily Recreation Center fee ($150), and student activities fee ($120).
