SUNY New Paltz Office of Veteran and Military Services The SUNY New Paltz Office of Veteran and Military Services is honored to serve those who served us.

We are dedicated to serving those who served us with the same tireless effort, putting their needs in the forefront, and assisting our veterans, service members and their dependents in receiving their education benefits, facilitating their transition into our college and providing support for their ongoing academic success. The SUNY New Paltz Office of Veteran and Military Services is committed to

providing support services focused on the holistic development of our students – intellectual, personal, and social needs. We work to achieve these goals through the development and implementation of programs, outreach efforts, policy advocacy and community partnerships designed to provide student support services focused on the special needs and requirements of veterans, service members and their dependents.

SUNY New Paltz President Darrell P. Wheeler and Minister Gerlien Croes, Minister of Kingdom Affairs, Education, Youth, Innovation and Sports of Aruba sign Memorandum of Agreement on July 15 to encourage and develop cooperation, exchanges and seamless transfer in the fields of fine and performing arts, applied technology, teacher education, STEM, sustainability programs, research, and other collaborative opportunities that may arise.

It’s Veterans Day, and we are honored to have a chance to highlight Sam-Karis Oghenekome ’24, one of our many military-affiliated graduates from SUNY New Paltz!

"Graduating from New Paltz gave me both the leadership tools I needed to succeed through one of the Army's toughest courses as well as the social and leadership skills that have helped me progress through my first couple months in the Army," said Sam-Karis Oghenekome ’24, Electrical Engineering.

Our Office of Veteran and Military Services (OVMS) happens to be number seven among Northeast institutions and continues to grow with help from SUNY’s Veteran Internship Program grant!
