🎉 Thank You, Students! 🎉

What an incredible start to Welcome Week! On August 25th, we hosted our Financial Aid Event, and WOW—71 of you showed up ready to learn, connect, and have some fun! 🙌

We covered everything from financial aid tips to resources, gave away some exciting prizes, and had a blast getting to know you all. A huge shoutout to Kalee for keeping us caffeinated and cozy with Health Hub teas, and to Deanna Rainbow for putting together an amazing lunch spread—you both helped us spoil our students in the best way! 🍵🥪

None of this would have been possible without our rockstar intern, Blake Hart, whose behind-the-scenes magic kept everything running smoothly (and with a smile!). And of course, a massive thank you to every single student who came out—your energy, questions, and enthusiasm made this event truly special.

We’re so proud of the community we’re building together, and we can’t wait to see you at future events. Remember, we’re always here to help with financial aid and resources—just reach out!

📣FALL 2026 APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN📣

We are excited to announce that the stakes have been raised. Our college & beyond applicants are now eligible to receive up to $8,000 per semester! This is unprecedented. If the thought of going to school or returning to school has crossed your mind, now is the time to seize this incredible opportunity.

Please keep in mind this opportunity is only for students who are enrolled members of MHA Nation. While the full-time funding is only offered to full-time students, part-time students are still able to apply, but will be awarded a smaller amount based on the number of credits the student is enrolled in.

The deadline to apply is October 15th, but don't let that stop you from applying now. We process applications as they are received, so the earlier you apply, the earlier you will receive your funding. Ideally, your award will be at the school before the first day of classes. Don't wait, get your application started today.

FYI...

🕵️‍♀️HOW DO I FIND MY DOCUMENTS?🕵️‍♀️

This is the most commonly asked question in our office. How do I find....Of course, the answer depends on your school and situation, but we wanted to make a quick guide to reference where to find your supporting documentation.

📄Letter of Acceptance: Typically the school sends a hard copy to your permanent mailing address or an email to the address you provided on your enrollment paperwork. Still can't find it? Call your admissions office, they can provide one to you!

📚Unofficial Transcripts: The BEST place to find this document will be your school's student portal. Look for a tab labeled "academic records" and then "download unofficial transcripts". If you are still having a difficult time, reach out to your advisor to send you a copy!

🪶Certificate of Indian Blood: Commonly referred to as a "CIB", this document can be obtained through the Tribal Enrollment office or here: https://www.mhanation.com/tribal-enrollment/

📆Class Schedule: This document can be obtained on your student portal. Typically, it is also included on your unofficial transcript, meaning you would only need to submit one document for two of the requirements! If you have trouble finding it, reach out to your academic advisor for assistance.

💰Financial Needs Analysis (FNA): This document is contained within our application, but it MUST be completed by your school's financial aid office. If you are not sure how to reach them, go to your school's website, and then to "financial aid office". Some schools prefer you email others prefer you call, check here before sending this request.

⚔️FERPA release: This too can be found in our application. There is a common misconception about what this document is used for, I am here to set the record straight. Your educational records are protected by law (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, specifically). If someone will be calling on your behalf; mom, dad, boyfriend, grandma, etc., please list them here. If you are the only one who will work with us, we still need this!
