Today, the Lehman community gathered for the 9/11 Memorial on the campus walkway to honor the lives lost on September 11th, 2001 and to recommit to the unity, service, and care for one another that rose from that day.

Twenty-five years later, the truest tribute is how we continue to show up for each other 🎗️

What a week it’s been! The Lehman College Student Government Association was excited to join the Office of Campus Life in kicking off the semester with an amazing Week of Welcome! 🎉

From our two-day Breakfast Social 🥞☕️, to the Accessibility Fair, and wrapping things up with an Ice Cream Social 🍦, it was amazing connecting with so many students and helping welcome everyone back to campus!

We also had the honor of representing Lehman SGA during a very special moment for our college: the celebration of a $1.15 million donation in support of Lehman College, alongside Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson and Council Member Eric Dinowitz. 💙💚

Lehman SGA was invited to a CUNY emerging leadership conference where we learned how to navigate and advocate in times of apathy and uncertainty. Our voices matter and we will continue to speak up for those in need.

Celebrate Pride Month with literature, community, and delicious food! The Lehman College Division of Student Affairs, Bronx Health REACH, and the Literary Freedom Project invite Lehman students, staff, and our Bronx neighbors to a meaningful afternoon honoring diverse LGBTQIA+ identities.🌈

This special gathering offers a welcoming space to connect, share, and build a deeper appreciation for the rich spectrum of life and love within our community. The Literary Freedom Project will host an engaging discussion centered on Akwaeke Emezi’s powerful novel, The Death of Vivek Oji, and will be distributing free copies of the book while supplies last. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn firsthand from local community members and allies.📚

To complement the conversation, a local chef will serve complimentary, healthy dishes specifically curated to bring out the cultural and narrative themes of the book.🍲
