On Tuesday, Dante Puleio Dante Puleio, Artistic Director of the Limón Dance Company, joined our History, Culture, & Pedagogy of Early American Modern Dance course (Deborah Damast ). He taught a workshop in Limón history and technique while demonstrating strategies for effective and inclusive teaching. We are so grateful for his energy and his work.

Congratulations to our Dance Ed grads!!! Some of our students spent the day dancing on stage at Radio City celebration their graduation! We are saying goodbye bye to some today. Many of them are celebrating today but still have their summer internship and culminating seminar to complete over the summer. So they’ll be back in class next week! Best of luck to everyone! We are so proud 💜

This weekend, the Steinhardt Program in Dance Education presents the 2026 Master’s Dance Concert. The show features original choreography by graduate students in a variety of styles and genres of dance. Appropriate for all ages.

On Saturday, May 2nd, NYU Steinhardt Dance Education presents our first-ever AAPI+ Dance Festival — an evening of performance, community, and celebration featuring works by AAPI+ alumni and current students across a spectrum of movement styles and lived experiences.

Doors open at 3:30 PM with a pre-show activation — an interactive living archive where you can connect with the work and the artists before the performance even begins. Then join us in the studio for an evening of dance that reflects the full range of who we are.
