This presentation introduces a framework for redesigning accounting assignments across past, current, and emerging AI-assisted professional workflows. Using examples from financial analysis, earnings analysis, and audit, the session demonstrates how faculty can preserve foundational accounting concepts while integrating current technologies and preparing students for evolving professional roles centered on judgment, verification, and interpretation. Participants will leave with practical assignment models and a scaffold they can adapt to their own disciplines and courses. (edited using AI)

🍂 Thank You for Joining Us: Fall into Focus – Early Warning Signs
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Fall into Focus: Early Warning Signs webinar this week. We were grateful for the opportunity to come together for an important conversation about recognizing early warning signs for student mental health, and connecting members of our community with mental health resources.
September is National Su***de Prevention Month and National Recovery Month, and includes National Su***de Prevention Day. It is an especially meaningful time to highlight the importance of awareness, prevention, and support. We are sharing two mental health resource guides:
📌 Staff & Faculty Mental Health Resources
📌 Student Mental Health Resources
Both guides include resources and support services available to members of our community. We encourage everyone to take a moment to review them and keep them accessible when needed.
We hope you’ll join us again on November 19 for the second session of Fall into Focus. If you were unable to attend or would like to revisit the conversation, the link to the presentation slides is available here: https://lnkd.in/e5GCnym

Please join us for a two-part fall webinar series exploring practical, trauma-informed approaches to teaching, learning, and supporting your well-being on and off campus. Led by Ruby Aguirre-Fuentes, MA, Child & Family Trauma Counselor and Adjunct Professor of Sociology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, the series will offer accessible strategies for recognizing how stress and life experiences can shape oneself as well as experiences in the classroom—and for creating learning environments that foster connection, resilience, and engagement. Whether you are faculty, staff, or a student, you are welcome to join us. Each session will provide practical ideas and opportunities to reflect on how we can support ourselves and one another throughout the academic year.

Both webinars will be offered through Zoom. All CUNY faculty and staff are encouraged to join.
