Your Digital Reset!

Before the semester gets rolling… get your digital life together. 💻✨

☁️ Set up your cloud storage
📁 Make a folder for the semester + each class
📝 Rename files so Document (12).pdf is not your system! 🧹 Clean out Downloads + random files
🔖 Bookmark the sites you use every week
🔐 Test your CUNY logins + make sure MFA works
🔑 Save your passwords somewhere secure
📄 Save important college docs + anything you submit

THE GOAL: be able to find anything you need in 30 seconds or less.

Because telling your professor “I have it somewhere… I just can’t find it” is a stress you do not need. 😭

And if you’re taking an online or hybrid class, “I couldn’t get into the class” is not something you want to discover after class already started. Test your logins, Brightspace + Zoom before Day 1‼️

Check your CUNYfirst schedule to see if your classes meet on Fridays — and if they do, GO TO CLASS.

💡 Why does attendance matter for financial aid?
Financial aid is based on your enrollment and attendance. If your professor reports that you never attended or participated in a class, you may receive a WN (Never Attended) grade.

A WN means you did not establish attendance in that course, so the class does not count toward your financial aid enrollment. That can cause your aid to be reduced or recalculated.

✨ Check your schedule. Show up. Establish attendance. Protect your financial aid.

And if you attended but received a WN by mistake, contact your professor ASAP.
