Congratulations to Felicity Glover (MA ’26 Teaching and Learning)! 💜

Felicity left a job that wasn't working, came to Steinhardt to chase something that was, and is heading out to be the Ms.-Frizzle-type teacher who makes learning exciting—and maybe takes over the world while she's at it.

We're rooting for both. 💜

A few more days in the life of an NYU Steinhardt Songwriting MM student means more music, more friends, and more NYC moments. And that mystery NYU alum we teased in Part 1? Drumroll please.... 🥁

✨ Maggie Rogers ✨

Lizzy attended a live recording of Switched on Pop featuring the singer-songwriter before wrapping up the week the way many great NYC adventures do: sharing a meal with classmates at a classic diner.

Congratulations to Rachel Fang (BA ’26, Applied Psychology)! 💜

Rachel came to Steinhardt curious about people and technology. She's leaving having fallen in love with research she never expected—and heading to Harvard to keep going.

Because of NYU Steinhardt, she's going to keep asking questions about how people learn and grow, and turn those questions into work that actually supports others.

Are you ? Your curiosity has a home here, too. Keep an eye on your inbox for enrollment info and next steps for fall. 💜

“The really cool thing about studying in New York means the city itself becomes a part of the classroom.”

Join Costume Studies MA student Lisandra for a day of learning in NYC! 👗🎭🍕Follow along as she visits the Met (Metropolitan Museum of Art) where she examines a selection of archival pieces, then heads downtown to grab a classic New York slice before attending a class on the preservation of historical clothing and textiles.

NYU Steinhardt has maintained a longstanding partnership with New York City Public Schools, the Nest Support Project at NYU Steinhardt—and more recently, the Path Program at NYU—pioneering what inclusive education actually looks like. As of Tuesday, these models are scaling into preschools citywide.

We are thrilled that NYC just committed $67.5M to bring five nationally recognized specialized programs—Nest, Horizon, AIMS, Path, and ACES—into Pre-K classrooms across all five boroughs for the first time. That's 14 districts. That's hundreds of young learners with disabilities getting specialized instruction where they live.

Research shows how critical early intervention and supports are for children's long-term outcomes. As Dean Patten put it: "The impact of investing in children so that they succeed and flourish cannot be overstated."

Congratulations to our own Charlie Harding 🎬

Songwriting Adjunct faculty Charlie Harding co-hosts “Switched On Pop”—the award-winning podcast that pulls hit songs apart to show you why they actually move you. As of this week, it's streaming on Netflix, with new episodes every Tuesday.

The NYU fingerprints don't stop at Charlie. This past year, he brought Maggie Rogers (NYU Tisch), Audrey Hobert(NYU Tisch), Joe Keery, and Amy Allen to campus to record live episodes for our community. And four of our NYU Steinhardt Songwriting master's graduate students—Lizzy Campbell, Meera Dahlmann, Harmony Deslauriers, and Alex Puchalvert—turn up in the very first Netflix episode.
The four-part opener, "The Art of the Song," is live now.
