Hunter SPS

Hunter SPS [SPA] the Society for Physics and Astronomy at Hunter College CUNY is a chapter of [SPS] the national Society of Physics Students

Our purpose is to encourage students of Physics and Astronomy at CUNY Hunter College to gain a better understanding and knowledge of the aforementioned fields. We aim to do so through facilitating events, workshops, colloquia, and conferences in an effort to bring real world experience and research opportunities to the attention of our student members, as well to guide them as they build their own

careers as budding scientists. We also hope for this club to be a support system for the students within/interested in our department by addressing their interests and concerns to the best of our capacity, helping them learn how to maneuver the wealth of opportunities available to them, as well as by providing them with a platform for networking within the greater Physics and Astronomy community.
