Alpha Phi Omega - NYU Beta Iota Chapter We are one of the oldest organizations dedicated to community service at NYU Alpha Phi Omega is a national co-ed fraternity dedicated to community service.

It is the single most representative undergraduate intercollegiate organization in the United States of America. We take pride in this and want to grow even larger. We are determined to be larger only because, if what we are and what we represent are important and useful to students, then we should share what we have in order to further our common goals more effectively. We want to share with coll

eges and universities all across this great land the benefits that Alpha Phi Omega gives to students, their campuses, and their communities. Our cardinal principles are Leadership, Friendship, and Service. While our emphasis has always been on providing the school and city with reliable access to our volunteer services, we also commit ourselves to a 6-9 week pledging process each semester for new members. This invariably fosters new friendships that last, which is best exemplified by the continuing presence of alumni at joint service projects. Our members also become strong leaders with their participation, whether it's as service coordinators, seats on our Executive Committee, or just simply as examples - everyone in Beta Iota develops more confidence and learns how to work on a team.
