An extraordinary evening at the St. Francis College Charter Award Dinner at 320 Park Avenue.

We honored Chairman Emeritus Thomas J. Volpe, a visionary whose 50+ years of leadership and unwavering belief in our students have shaped everything SFC is today.

President Tim Cecere reminded us that the true measure of an institution is found in the lives it touches, the opportunities it creates, and the students it empowers. Rooted in Franciscan values, SFC continues to move forward with purpose and confidence.

The real stars of the evening were our students. Their stories and achievements reminded every donor, trustee, and alumnus in the room exactly why their support matters. Every scholarship, every partnership, and every act of generosity opens a door for a student who needs it most.

A special thank you to our emcee Christine Persichette for bringing the evening to life with such warmth and grace. And to everyone who continues to invest in the future of St. Francis College, thank you. The next chapter of this institution is shaping up to be its strongest yet.

What an unforgettable day!

On May 19th, we proudly celebrated the Class of 2026. The graduates’ resilience, compassion, leadership, and Terrier spirit filled the day as families, friends, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters came together to honor their achievements.

These graduates embraced every opportunity to grow academically, personally, and spiritually, living our Franciscan values through humility, service, and impact.

Yesterday’s McGuire Scholars Ceremony captured the very best of our community at St. Francis College.

We were joined by President Tim Cecere as we celebrated scholars across every stage of their journey. First-year students were recognized with their McGuire jackets and challenge coins, sophomores and juniors were acknowledged as the backbone of the program, and our graduating seniors were honored as they prepare to take their next steps.

Thank you to Anthony Desiderio, Ed.D. for leading such a meaningful reflection on the growth, commitment, and shared responsibility that define this program.

A special thank you as well to Shakima M. Clency, PhD and our partners at the Kessler Scholars Collaborative for their continued collaboration and support.

The McGuire Scholars Program continues to create real opportunity for our students, and we are excited to celebrate more moments like this as we close out the academic year.

Charter Day Convocation remains a defining tradition at St. Francis College bringing our community together to celebrate our mission, our students, and those who help shape their success.

We were honored to welcome Christine Persichette as our keynote speaker. She shared her career journey with candor and insight, offering students a powerful reminder that success is built through perseverance, growth, and the willingness to embrace opportunity.

President Tim Cecere delivered meaningful remarks, thanking parents for their continued trust and partnership. He reminded our students that success is not left to chance, but it is a choice. At St. Francis College, it is a choice we encourage and support every day. He also recognized our students for the example they set through their determination, leadership, and commitment to their goals.

During the ceremony, we proudly inducted the newest members of the Duns Scotus Honors Society, recognizing their academic excellence and dedication to our core values. The Class of 2026 was also awarded academic medals, marking an important milestone in their academic journey.
We further recognized faculty and staff celebrating 15 and 25 years of service to St. Francis College, honoring their lasting contributions to our institution and the generations of students they have supported.

Charter Day continues to reflect the strength of our community and our shared commitment to forming students prepared for lives of purpose and impact.

There’s something special about coming home!

We welcomed our accounting alumni back to campus at St. Francis College and what a great night it was! From familiar faces to first-time visitors to our award-winning campus, the room was filled with energy, pride, and a shared commitment to our students and our mission.

A special thank you to our student leaders from NABA and the AccountingSociety, and to Daria Mitchell and Anna Altmann for their outstanding leadership. And to Dr. Lou D’Elia and Professor John
A. Lombardo, whose mentorship continues to shape the next generation of accounting professionals.

As was shared during the evening, there is real momentum at St. Francis College. From launching innovative academic programs to strengthening student support through initiatives like the “Red Brick Road to The Plaza,” we are building pathways that prepare our students not just for careers, but for meaningful lives.
And none of this happens without our alumni. Their engagement, your support, and your willingness to stay connected make all the difference.
