Hi Everyone!

We’re really excited for this event this Sunday in Roone Cinema. Columbia people please show out! There will be upwards of 150 people who have recently graduated or are working in fields that you may be interested in. We will have a mingling period at the beginning. (So, you can lowkey treat this as a networking event too!)

Besides that, the mental health practitioners are FLYING IN from Atlanta and elsewhere as we write this. They’re experts in getting to the core of how we as a community address these concerns proactively, and they’re happy to look at this process from a student slant. This is invaluable knowledge to anyone of Ethiopian or Eritrean descent and should not be missed! Bring a pen, a pad, and your friends because this is going to be a great one! Looking forward to it!

See y’all there!

((Btw, if you have a CU-id, you don’t have to RSVP, just come to the event this Sunday at 3:00. The official event will begin at 3:45.))

Today marks 28 years since the fall of the Derg Regime in Ethiopia. For many it meant the ushering in of a new era of development, and an opportunity to rebuild a country torn by violence and tyrannical rule. On this day, take time to remember all the lives lost, the progress that has been made since then, and the need to continue improving.
