This past Sunday, Kappa Epsilon Zeta Chapter once again participated in the Bronx Week Parade along with our D9 family and the numerous organizations that help make the Bronx great. It was a celebration of our wonderful Borough- the people, the music, and our culture.

This year, in addition to a stroll performance we also performed a brief step routine. We are always happy to showcase Zeta pride, and we will certainly be back next year! 💙

In the Bronx, Black and Brown nurses are more than healthcare professionals—they are advocates, educators, protectors, and trusted voices within our neighborhoods. Maternal health is more than a women’s issue—it’s a community issue. 💙

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Kappa Epsilon Zeta Chapter was honored to partner with the Bronx Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated for an impactful conversation centered on Black maternal health, advocacy, education, and equity.

Together, we explored maternal health from multiple perspectives—medical, mental health, community support, and lived experience—while addressing the realities of health disparities that continue to impact Black women and families at disproportionate rates. Through honest dialogue and meaningful insight, we reinforced the importance of advocacy, culturally competent care, and creating safer outcomes for our communities.

We prioritize wellness and on Saturday we participated in the Run the Bronx hosted by and did what needed to be done—ran, supported, showed love, and kept it moving.

This what it’s about, taking care of YOU, staying active, and showing the community what it looks like to choose wellness every day. Not perfect, just consistent.

For many women, a mammogram is just another appointment.
For Black women, it can be life-saving.

Black women are more likely to be diagnosed with aggressive forms of breast cancer and are often diagnosed at later stages, making early detection especially critical. Access, education, and early screening can change outcomes—and save lives.

That’s why Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated is proud to partner with Luis Sepúlveda and Chantel Jackson to bring FREE mammogram screenings directly to the Bronx community on May 15, 2026, from 9:00 AM–4:30 PM at 1665 Hoe Avenue, Bronx, NY 10460.

We are asking our community to help us spread the word. Share this flyer with the women you love—mothers, sisters, aunties, friends, neighbors, and sorors—and encourage them to call the office or scan the QR code to secure an appointment. Early scheduling helps ensure access for those who need it most.

Healthcare access is community care. Awareness is advocacy. Early detection saves lives.

Together, we can make a lasting impact—one screening at a time. 💗

It was truly an honor for the Sorors of Kappa Epsilon Zeta to partner with the Throggs Neck Community Alliance for a beautiful Mother’s Day celebration at the Sonia Sotomayor Community Center.

Surrounded by a room full of powerful women—like & so many others —we were reminded that strength doesn’t just live in titles or positions… it lives in motherhood.

In the quiet sacrifices.
In the unwavering love.
In the ability to nurture, lead, and still show up for everyone else.

The afternoon was filled with heartfelt remarks from community leaders, meaningful moments of connection, and well-deserved joy—through food, music, raffles, and pampering experiences like massages and manicures.

More than anything, it was a celebration of the women who hold our communities together every single day.

To every mother: your power is unmatched, your impact is immeasurable, and your love does not go unseen.

We are grateful to have shared in such a meaningful and memorable day.
