For our latest Alumni Outcomes post, meet Anly Xu (she/her)!

🖥️ Current Title and Company: Investigative Analyst at New York County District Attorney’s Office
🎓 Graduation Year and Major: M.A. in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics ’24
👤 LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/anly-lumengxu/

Anly is a GSAS alum who now works as an Investigate Analyst for the NY County DA’s Office. She graduated from GSAS in May 2024 with a Master of Arts in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics. Anly’s experience at GSAS helped prepare her for her current role. Read her full quote below:

“My experience at GSAS prepared me for my current role as an Investigative Analyst at the New York County District Attorney’s Office by strengthening both my analytical and communication skills. Through the Econometrics and Quantitative Economics program, I developed strong quantitative and critical thinking abilities that I now apply when analyzing evidence and supporting investigations. Participating in the GSAS Three Minute Thesis Academic Challenge in both 2023 and 2024 was especially impactful. The experience taught me how to present complex research clearly to non-specialist audiences — a skill that directly translates to my work today, where I communicate analytical findings to grand juries and during trial preparation. ”

🔗 We are proud to showcase the career journeys and successes of our GSAS Alumni and hope that these stories inspire current students. For alumni interested in sharing their journey, fill out the Alumni Outcomes form (bit.ly/GSASAlumniOutcomes) for a chance to be featured next!
