On June 19, 1865, enslaved African Americans in Texas were told they were free. A century and a half later, people across the United States continue to celebrate the day, which is now a federal holiday.

Today is my last day at the Fashion Institute of Technology and this will be my last post on this site. After nine years at this great school, it is time to move on to a new path in my career journey. I wish all of my FIT friends and family the best.
